So, I was thinking, that as a final test, there could be a gym that's kind of an everything gym... If anyone ever played heartgold or soulsilver, then they would know Blue, the new leader of the Viridian Gym. He used pretty much all of the basic types, not just one. So, I figured there could be one last gym before the Elite Four, and it would be like Blue's gym. I dunno, just an idea. I have no idea what you would call it though, maybe all-types or something? I don't know, just thought that could be cool.
It would add another gym to the mix, and people would have to make a mixed team and use actual skills to beat this lvl 100 gym instead of training some one-type team to wreck the gym with. Because for gyms, you could easily train an all-water team to take on the fire-type gym. So, with this all-type gym, you would have to use actual skill with multiple types of pokemon to beat it. Just a thought

'Because for gyms, you could easily train an all-water team to take on the fire-type gym.' You have obviously never attempted to fight a gym or read any of the rules of the gyms, each gym has a limit on the super effective type pokemon.

You have obviously never attempted to fight a gym or read any of the rules of the gyms, each gym has a limit on the super effective type pokemon. I don't think that this should undermine his idea though. Gym leaders are theoretically already at a disadvantage since pixelmon doesn't have a huge variety to chose from when you're limited to using one type. With some thought, you can walk into a gym battle having fulfilled the limited of super effective pokemon on your team, and still have another decent sweeper or two that can access some super effective moves. Having a gym that specializes in all types would promote thoughtful team building and could be another healthy, competitive avenue to consider. That being said though, Reesepeices12, these types of battles are happening on the server all of the time. Any time you're battling another player on the server you're pitting your own pokemon and team-building knowledge against that of the other player, often times without either player being bound to one particular type of pokemon. Keep an eye out for people asking for level 100 battles, and this will probably fulfill your desire. Still, it would be kind-of cool to give a player on the server who has beaten all the gyms a unique title or rank like "Champion". Multiple champions could exist (in which case the title would simply be prestige), or maybe just a single champion could be crowned. This single champion should have to accept challenges like a normal gym leader at the risk of being dethroned when he/she loses. Something like this could already exist on other servers, but there is always the possibility that it does not. Could lead to attracting new players and some organic growth! Cool idea, Reesepieces!

Another person who has obviously never challenged a gym, if you had you would know we have rules and counters which balance the scales, if you walk into a gym thinking like that you will be crushed. The amount of thought put into developing a team to beat a gym is exactly the same as building any other team, also I don't know where you got the idea that I was undermining his idea, I was only commenting on his statement about the gyms. But now I will, the elite four is being worked on and once it is finished, the champion will fulfill this exact role as their team will be comprised of various types rendering an 'all type gym' utterly pointless.

I don't know, I just thought that having an all-types gym would be the final challenge before the Elite Four, because you have to know which types and moves to use against the all-types gym. And the gym leader could use all kinds of types of pokemon against you, with a variety of moves, and not get wrecked by a single pokemon merely because it has a type advantage.
